It is officially fall here in Minnesota and there are tons of activities for every person wanting to celebrate the cooler season. From family friendly outings, to scary haunted houses, check out our picks for fall activities throughout the Twin Cities to get you in the fall mood!

Family Friendly

Minnesota has many fall fun activities the whole family can enjoy! From a crisp fall morning walk through the Apple Orchards, picking the perfect pumpkin, challenging yourself to one of the many corn mazes*, or taking a stroll through the Minnesota Zoo’s Jack-O-Lantern trail, you are sure to find something that the whole family can enjoy together!   • Apple Jack Orchards

    • Cost: No admission fee to visit the Café, Bakery, Apple Market and Giftshop. Wristbands range from $10-$15 each day of the week and depends on how many activities you’d like take part in.
    • Activities: Pick-your-own apples and pumpkins, pony rides, zip lines, face painting, live music and so much more!
  • Afton Apple Orchard
    • 14421 South 90th Street, Hastings, MN 55033
    • Open Daily: 10:00am – 6:00pm
    • Cost: General Admission is $7 for ages 5+ and $5 for ages 4 and younger.
    • Activities: Pick-your-own apples, raspberries and pumpkins, playground, petting farm, hay rides, a huge 15-acre corn maze and more!
  • Pine Tree Apple Orchard
    • 450 Apple Orchard Rd, White Bear Lake, MN 55110
    • Open Daily: 10:00am – 5:00pm
    • Cost: Free Admission, additional fees for activities.
    • Activities: Pre-picked apples, pick pumpkins, corn maze, live music, educational opportunities about the history of apple orchards in the retail barn, and more!
  • Pinehaven Farm
    • 28186 Kettle River Blvd., Wyoming, MN 55092
    • Open: Select weekdays from noon – 6:00pm, weekends 10:00am – 6:00pm
    • Cost: Daily Admission $10-$19. Check out their website for more information.
    • Activities: Trolley ride to pick-your-own pumpkins, mazes, sunflower trail, apple blasting, and more!
  • Twin Cities Harvest Festival and Maze
    • On the SE corner of 109th Ave and Highway 169 in Brooklyn Park
    • Open: Weekends & MEA 10:00am – 6:00pm

    • Activities: 20-acre corn maze, petting zoo, corn pit, Magic Shows, Hayrides, Food Trucks and more!
  • Valley Fair Tricks and Treats

  • Nickelodeon Boo-niverse

    • Activities: Fright Lights, Fog Chute, Dance Party, DIY Slime, and more!
  • Minnesota Zoo Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular

    • Open: October 1 – November 5
    • Cost: Tickets range from $18-$24
    • Activities: Take a stroll through a trail of over 5,000 illuminated pumpkins of all different sizes, shapes and faces!
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas with the MN Orchestra
    • Orchestra Hall, 1111 Nicolett Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403
    • Open: October 28 and October 29 at 8:00pm

    • Activity: Spread the joy (and terror) with filmmaker Tim Burton’s 1993 The Nightmare Before Christmas. The Minnesota Orchestra playing Danny Elfman’s original score while the story plays on the big screen.
  • Minneapolis Halloween Half Marathon, 10k & 5k

    • Activities: Take your favorite costume out for a test run, and run for a cause!
  • Sever’s Corn Maze and Fall Festival

  • 300 Clifton Candlelight Tour

    • Activities: Take a candlelit tour the historic bed and breakfast’s main mansion, servants’ quarters and basements while learning about the history of Clifton Avenue and possibly meet the ghost of one of the Carpenter family’s chambermaids, Gertrude.

  • 5th Annual Halloween Bar Crawl

  • Horror! At the Parkway
